Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive and Diesel Locomotive.
This Steam Loco is a Black 5 4-6-0 No. 45313 and Diesel Loco is D2391.
At Dallam MPD in Warrington during 1962 is this Black 5 built at Armstrong Whitworth in February 1937. It was withdrawn from Springs Branch in Wigan on 28th February 1965 and scrapped at the Central Wagon Company in Ince Wigan the following month. The 0-6-0 Diesel Mechanical Shunter was built at Doncaster Works in 1961 and withdrawn from Springs Branch in 1970 to be scrapped at G Cohen of Kettering in November 1971 after a period in storage.
