CURRENT: 70009 on hire from Freightliner to Colas Rail is seen at Chirk Station today arriving (Photo 1), pausing (Photo 2) and then reversing in to the Kronospan factory (Photo 3) with the 6J37 14:02 Carlisle Yard to Chirk Kronospan Logs service.

The smoke in both Photos 1 & 3 is not from the thrash of the Class 70's engine but is in fact a coincidental but clever framing of the smoke from the chimneys of the Kronospan factory behind!
