Pounding Up Dainton Bank. A Grange Class 4-6-0 No. 6813 Eastbury Grange of Exeter Shed 83C pilots a Modified Hall Class 4-6-0 No. 6991 Acton Burnell Hall with a Bristol to Plymouth relief holiday train on 3rd August 1960 while the driver of the Grange gives a cheerful V for victory sign to the photographer Hugh Ballantyne. This dramatic scene soon disappeared with the introduction of the Warship Class Diesel Hydraulics.
