Continuing with the trend of Latvian M62's... M62 class diesel, numbered 1615 of the Latvian LDZ Cargo recently after arriving light power from Krustpils, is captured in frame awaiting further instructions from the signal box manager to continue to the layover tracks near the repair depot in Daugavpils 🇱🇻 The sound of the humming 14Д40 prime mover, for the typical Polish railfan, brings back many memories of the days when the original M62's built for Poland "Gagarins" were still gracing the Polish rails. Today we can only reminisce and even dream of those days as all of the classic Polish M62's (ST44's) have been retired for years....
