"A Very Welcomed Change"

A duet of ČD Cargo Poland Škoda 182 Class Electric are awaiting for an clear back south towards Sędziszów in southern Poland with an empty coal train heading back towards Poland's "Coal Country" to be reloaded with some fresh black diamonds for burning. In March of 2024, the power station in Połaniec held an auction for which railway company will haul over 1 Million Tons to their plant for the next 2-3 years and the contract was won by Czech's ČD Cargo Poland.
For over 10 Years PKP Cargo was the #1 go to carrier for the plant in Połaniec but as you can see this isn't the case and won't be for at least a long time.
This is a very welcome change as railfans started flocking to the mainlines towards Połaniec to catch many of the Škoda and other electrics in the ČD Cargo Fleet. A very welcome change indeed!
