Following a heavy snowfall in December 1964. A Manor Class 4-6-0 No. 7827 Lydham Manor makes a fine sight as it slogs up the 1 in 52 Talerddig Bank with the up Cambrian Coast Express. This locomotive was one of the first departures from Woodhams Scrapyard in Barry when it was saved for preservation in 1970.
