Tamworth where the Midland Main Line from Birmingham to Derby crossed over the West Coast Main Line was a favourite haunt of trainspotters in the late 1950s and early 60s. Here's an ex LMS unrebuilt and unnamed Patriot Class 4-6-0 No. 45510 storms through the low level station with an up fitted banana train on a freezing cold on 8th March 1958.
