Lambley Viaduct - July 2022

These photos are of Lambley Viaduct, a Viaduct that carried the old Alston Branch. Further down the formation, there is a narrow gauge preserved line on the old standard gauge trackbed. That is called the South Tynedale Railway (see previous posts) and they hope to extend across this Viaduct and into the bay platform at the existing mainline station, Haltwhistle (see previous posts on Haltwhistle).
