Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive. This Steam Loco is a Castle Class 4-6-0. 5092 Tresco Abbey. Here's a Tresco Abbey is heading south on a Cardiff to Manchester express near Hereford in May 1963. Churchward/Collett Engine No. 5092 Tresco Abbey was built at Swindon Works for the GWR in April 1938. Well that's not totally correct. It was a rebuild of Star Class No. 4072 Tresco Abbey which had been built in 1923. Its last shed was Cardiff East Dock from where it was withdrawn on 31st July 1963 and scrapped at Cashmores of Newport on 31st October 1964.
