Well, today is a sad day... Today we said goodbye to both the Class 171/2's and the Class 171/4's. All the units featured in both of these subclasses were previously Class 170's from ScotRail however recently their numbers have been reverted back to their previous Class 170 numbers. Today saw 170422 (171401), 170423 (171202) & 171424 (171402) head up to Derby Etches Park Sidings to be introduced with their new operator, that being East Midlands Railway. I'm sure it won't be long until 170421 (170201) will head up northwards like it's classmates. Anyway I just thought I'd post this as a kind of tribute to the units as they used to operate quite close to me. R.I.P. 171/2's & /4's #trainspotting #train #dmu #tribute
