This Steam Loco is a GWR Pannier Tank.
The number is not known here. But this photo is pure steam days. The short goods train passes the Wellington Signal Box in 1966. Your photographer and Co author Phil Braithwaite spent many hours in this signal box enjoying brews and chats wit the Signalman. So there are a few more photographs from this location thanks to the Signalman's excellent tea.
