Surprise, Surprise. Getting a 102 year old steam engine running reliably isn't the most straightforward task. The original "Return to Steam" date of August 24th has been postponed as shop crew have found some issues they want to address before general passengers get involved. Considering the date was made public mere days after the FRA inspection passed, and the engine has been undergoing various route checks over the last few days, it's not surprising to anyone in the know that these "break-in runs" are meant to find any problems and to tweak and change parts so that the regular runs are fairly perfect. #trainspotting #train #steam #crossing #arcadeandattica #usa #rs3 #alco #railfan
