This 900mm gauge line in Georgian mountains was built in tsarist Russia to serve high located apatite mines. In the middle of XXth century it have been electrified with these small chezh-built locos. Alas, nowadays here remain only two pairs of passenger services each day. If the substations those days were using retired from Khashuri broad gauge line motor-generator converters, the line could've had efficiency greater than 100%: descending loaded train generated more energy than was required to raise empty cars to the top! #narrowgauge #Georgia
