Soon after leaving Wormit Goods. A B1 Class 4-6-0 No. 61404 starts its journey across the 2 and 1 quarter mile Tay Bridge to Dundee on 6th August 1965. It was designed by disgraced engineer Thomas Bouch. The original bridge was destroyed in a gale in 1879 and a new bridge was built alongside. Opening in 1887. Steam haulage survived in Fifeshire until Spring 1967 when Thornton Junction, Dunfermline and across the water. Dundee Tay Bridge sheds all closed.
