East Midlands Trains 43073 draws its train to a stop at East Midlands Parkway station on route to London St Pancras with Ratcliffe Power Station and its huge cooling towers in the background.

Ratcliffe was the last coal fired power station in Britain and just over seven years after this photo was taken the power station closed ending coal powered electricity generation in the UK on 30th September 2024.
