Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive. This Steam Loco is an A1 4-6-2 60145 Saint Mungo. During an open day at Darlington Workshops on 3rd October 1964. We can see Peppercorn A1 Saint Mungo in for an overhaul. The locomotive was built during March 1949 at Darlington Works for BR. It's last shed was York North from where it was withdrawn in June 1966 and cut up at Drapers, Neptune Street Goods Yard 2 months later. None of the class was preserved. But as previously mentioned a new one has been built No 60163 Tornado. Saint Mungo was a Scottish Saint.
