A Class 322. No. 322481 Stansted Express 25 KV. The Class 322s are a class of 5 units that were initially dedicated to the London Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport service. After being rendered surplus on this route. They passed in turn to various operators and they now work around Leeds as part of the West Yorkshire PTE fleet. They will eventually be replaced by CAF built Class 331 units. No. 322481 approaches the Stansted Airport terminal having come along the new branch line for the Great Eastern London to Cambridge main line. The branch line is entirely new and was not built over either the old Thaxted branch or the closed Dunmow to Braintree line.
