Friday 13th December, 1974, Paddington: I took this photo' of D1069 "Western Vanguard" at about 22.30hrs before her departure at the head of a return Christmas Shoppers' Excursion, but I don't know where it was returning to. Soon afterwards I caught the 00.05hrs (I think) Paddington to Penzance Sleeper (Mk1's then) westbound, to spend Christmas in the UK at my Aunt's house in Newlyn. Happy days!
