An Italian E.412 Class electric is seen switching light power at the northern end of the Brenner Pass Station not long after the engine driver started shift. It would leave Brenner a few hours later with an freight bound for Verona 🇮🇹 The E.412 series are an Italian copy of the EU43 class electrics built by Adtranz (Bombardier) in the years 1996 - 2003 for the Polish PKP 🇵🇱. This series was also built by Adtranz, but the Italians built their versions in the factory of the Italian branch of Adtranz in Vado Ligure. It is also worth mentioning that the construction period was twice as short. They built 20 examples of the E.412 series in just two years: 1996-1998. All examples of this class are still active today 🚂 Brennero - Italy 🇮🇹 - July 2024 ⛱️☀️ #trainspotting #lineside #photo #train #electric #station #mercitaliarail
