HERITAGE: Sunday 6th October 2024 saw me working as Station Assistant at Llangollen Station during the Llangollen Railway's Railcar Gala which featured a Class 104 set (2 Car) a four-car set consisting of a two car Class 108 and hybrid Class 108/127 set running together and the Class 109 Wickham set all in operation over the weekend. Photo 1 - 08202 was employed within Llangollen Station on the day to shunt the trailing wagon/brake van load which was coupled to Units during the weekend allowing brake van rides along the line. Here it is pictured in Platform 1 having just moved the trailing load from the back of the 11:50 Carrog to Llangollen service operated by the Class 109 'Wickham' Unit. Photo 2 - 08202 is pictured in Platform 1 alongside the Class 109 'Wickham' Unit (50416 & 56171) having just moved the trailing load from the back of the 11:50 Carrog to Llangollen service operated by the Class 109 Unit. The 109 would then go on to work the 12:50 Llangollen to Corwen service. Photo 3 - Photo 2 - Class 104 set (50454 & 50528) is pictured in Platform 1having just arrived with the 12:15 Corwen to Llangollen service. The Unit then went on to work the 13:50 Llangollen to Corwen service with the trailing load.
