HERITAGE: On Sunday 4th August 2024 I paid a visit to the Nene Valley Railway in Cambridgeshire. Parking and beginning my journey at Wansford Station I took the short trip by Steam train up to Yarwell Junction before making the trip in the opposite direction back through Wansford and down to Peterborough Nene Valley Station. I then returned from Peterborough to Wansford where the train waited for around 25 minutes. I then too kone more short return trip from Wanford to Yarwell Junction and back... Photo 1 - Steam Locomotive Nr656 stands at Wansford Station awaiting departure with the 10:00 Wansford to Peterborough Nene Valley (via Yarwell Junction) service. Photo 2 - Steam Locomotive Nr656 stands at Peterborough Nene Valley Station after arrivinf with the 10:00 Wansford to Peterborough Nene Valley (via Yarwell Junction) service. Thsi Loco would then run round its train and work the return 11:15 Peterborough Nene Valley to Wansford service. Photo 3 - 43060 stands in the Railworld complex at Peterborough - on the other end of the Mk.3 set was 43045. Photo 4 - 43045 stands in the Railworld complex at Peterborough - on the other end of the Mk.3 set was 43060. Photo 5 - Industrial Diesel DL83 stands in the Yard at Wansford.
