Bure Valley Footpath and Cycle Trail. Opened in 1882. Closed in 1952. County School to Wroxham. County School, Foulsham, Reepham, Cawston, Aylsham South, Brampton, Buxton, Coltishall and Wroxham. A latecomer to the North Norfolk Railway scene. The railway between County School and Wroxham was also an early victim of closure to passengers. It was served by a circuitous service of trains running between Norwich and Dereham and was especially busy during the Second World War when several Royal Air Force airfields were opened along the line. After closure to passengers in 1952. The eastern half of the line remained open for freight until 1985. The section between Aylsham and Wroxham was reopened in 1990 as the 15 in gauge Bure Valley Railway with the Bure Valley Footpath & Cycle Trail running alongside it.
