A regular feature at Carlisle is the Northern Belle and on Saturday 17th November 57313 "Scarborough Castle" brings the train back into the station ready for the return journey. Having arrived earlier from Telford the train was shunted out to Carlisle Upperby for the steam loco to be serviced ahead of the journey back over the S&C. 57313 is a former 'thunderbird' and was converted from 47371 for Virgin Trains in the early 2000s before being bought by West Coast Railways. #trainspotting #lineside #station #train #diesel #Class57 #NorthernBelle
