Jumping to the final point - the Turkistan station. Despite the Turksib route name, the station was built 20 years earlier when the first railway came to Kazakhstan in 1905. So it is featuring art-noveau architecture weirdly contrasting to the surrounding world. A round depot is completing the complex of old railway buildings. Obviously its roof was raised in 1964 to place cranes required for diesel loco maintenance.
