Much admired by their crews. A Cardiff Cantons well groomed BR Britannia Class 4-6-2 No. 70029 Shooting Star thunders into Reading with the up Capitals United Express in the late 1950s. It was delivered new from Crewe Works. Cardiffs allocation of 12 Britannias was reallocated to Crewe and Carlisle in 1961 and ended their life pounding up and down The West Coast Main Line north of Crewe.
