The ex LSWR Class T9 4-4-0s nicknamed Greyhounds because of their excellent steaming abilities were once a common sight on the main line west of Exeter until their withdrawal in 1961. Here is No. 30719 waits at Okehampton with a stopping train for Padstow on 1st September 1960. Only one member of this class No. 30120 has been preserved.
