This is what the former crossing in Rijswijk (the Netherlands) looks like now. They're doubling the tracks and they've built a new bridge, which is slightly higher than the old one. The tracks are therefore also raised above street level. This street has two dead ends now. It took me a while to get from one side to the other, because the new underpass just north will not be opened before the end of this month. The closure of the level crossing and the opening of the underpass should have taken place at the same time, but problems with a landowner caused the latter to be delayed. #photo #lineside #abandoned #decommissioned #crossing #netherlands
