This Steam Loco is a Black 5 4-6-0 No. 44803.
An action shot of a hard working Black 5 at it climbs the bank out of Warrington Southbound in 1964. Built at Derby Works in 1944. It was withdrawn from Newton Heath in June 1968 to be scrapped 3 months later at Drapers, Neptune Street Goods Yard in Hull.
