An evocative 1960s period photo with Pedestrians, A cyclist, A Ford Anglia, A Morris Minor and in the background is a bus all held up by the passage of the Merchant Navy Class Pacific No. 35023 Holland Afrika Line heading a Weymouth bound express over Poole Level Crossing on 3rd June 1967. Bereft of its valuable nameplate. The loco only survived just over a month until the end of steam on the Southern Region in July.
