Inside the roundhouse at Leeds Neville Hill MPD on 14th September 1963 where we have a pleasant view of the quiet interior of this typical roundhouse. Q6 63448 is standing on the turntable. This Raven designed locomotive was built at Darlington Works in March 1913 and its last shed was this one from where it was withdrawn in June 1964 and scrapped 2 months later at W. Willoughby in Choppington. Nearest the camera. No. 61224 was built at the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow in October 1947. Its last shed was Wakefield from where it was withdrawn on 31st July 1966 and scrapped 2 months later at Hesslewoods of Attercliffe.
