Timothy Shervington
6987 Shervington Hall now 99.99% complete after having needed a new chassis. After twofills killed the old one by cracking a plastic axle. Work done included modifying the loco body to fit the new bachmann chassis and modifying the tender chassis to take the old tender body and putting in a new mounting for the drawbar. Other work included some weathering to hide any imperfections on the body. Coal added and some water around the filler cap. Light oil stains on the motion. And some weathering on the underside on the brake rigging, brake blocks and on the wheels and crew fitted to the cab. New smokebox numberplate fitted as the other one fell off and was lost during repairs and the nameplate on the side not shown needed a repaint on the plinth after some paint rubbed off also during repairs. The 000.01 percent that needs doing is finding a way to permanently couple the tender up as it currently has a habit of coming undone but that is on hold until I can get new storage for it. #photo #modelrailway #00gauge #modeltrain #steam
