This Steam Loco is a B1 Class 4-6-0 No. 61008 Kudu.
The year is 1962 and seen on York MPD is the B1 61008. It was designed by Thompson and built at Darlington Works going into service on 13th May 1944 at Darlington. Transferred to the Scottish Region in March 1963. It was withdrawn from Carstairs in December 1966 and scrapped 2 months later at J McWilliams of Shettleston.
