This Steam Loco is a 4MT 2-6-0 No. 43140.
An atmospheric shot here of a 4MT Flying Pig sat at the platform at Manchester Victoria as the driver chats to another railwayman in 1962. The engine was designed by Ivatt and built at Doncaster Works entering service on 8th August 1951 at Polmont. It's last shed was Normanton from where it was withdrawn during June 1967 and scrapped at Drapers of Neptune Street Goods Yard 5 months later.
