Long live the memory of these now (presumed to be) scrapped locomotives. Back in May of 2023 the word in the community was that the G&W had signed an agreement to terminate older motive power still in use, citing emissions as reasoning. #887, a chop-nose GP9 and #926, a GP18, were the regular BF-1 power for the Arcade job at the time, and have since been taken out of service and presumably cut up. #trainspotting #train #diesel #junction #buffaloandpittsburgh #geneseeandwyoming #gp9 #gp18
