Here's a story about this Steam Locomotive. This Steam Loco is an 8F No. 48258. Hauling freight northbound towards Winwick Junction north of Warrington in 1963 is ex works 8F No. 48258. The locomotive was built at the North British Locomotive Works in Glasgow during October 1941. But not as with a lot of the class built then for the War Department Instead. This one went straight to the LMS. The first allocation on amalgamation was Crewe South. But it was then loaned to Northwich for a brief time. It's last shed was Edge Hill from where it was withdrawn on 26th October 1967. It was scrapped at J Buttigiegs of Newport in January 1968.
