HERITAGE: Today (27th October 2024), I took a trip to the Cambrian Heritage Railways site at Oswestry for two return trips down to Weston Wharf Station. Haulage for both trips was behing Class 73 E6036 (73129) 'City of Winchester'.. Photos 1 & 2 - E6036 (73129) 'City of Winchester' runs round its train at Weston Wharf having arrived with the 11:00 Oswestry to Weston Wharf service. The Loco would then go on to work the return 11:40 Weston Wharf to Oswestry service following the run around. Photo 3 - Steam Locomotive K5459 'Austin No. 1' (Kitson) on hire from the Llangollen Railway, stands outside Oswestry shed. Photo 4 - E6036 (73129) 'City of Winchester' stands at Oswestry Station having just arrived with the 11:40 Weston Wharf to Oswestry service. Attached to it away from the camera is fellow class 101 Unit 51205.
