Very little remains of Dumfries Goods Junction situated to the north of the current station. Having left the mainline to the left of this shot the Caledonian Railway owned Dumfries, Lochmaben and Lockerbie Railway continued into the distance towards Lockerbie. This section of the line has been made into a footpath and can be walked. The area behind the camera was once the second goods yard in Dumfries which included a large warehouse and various goods sheds. The line to Lockerbie closed in 1966 and commercial units have been built on the site. #trainspotting #lineside #station #shed
