Freightliner class 66/5 No. #66543 standing in Appleby station this evening whilst working a route learner service. The 'shed' arrived as 0T65 1702 Carlisle New Yard to Appleby before departing shortly after as 0T66 1825 Appleby to Carlisle New Yard. This working comes after the announcement that Freightliner will be taking over the 6M97/6E97 Tees Dock to New Biggin gypsum service which is currently operated by DB Cargo via York and the southern S&C. Freightliner will be operating the service via the Tyne Valley and Carlisle which will be much more economical. #trainspotting #lineside #station #train #diesel #Freightliner #Class66
